Background and career to date

Educated at Tonbridge School, Kent, and later at Kings College, London, where he took a degree in law. Michael trained at Crossman, Block and Keith in Gray's Inn and qualified as a solicitor in December 1971.

He was a partner at Crossman, Block and Keith until 1977 when he left London and joined March & Edwards, a move he never regretted. Michael has been a partner since 1979 and specialises in commercial and residential property matters together with ecclesiastical and charity law. He has been Legal Secretary to the Bishop of Worcester and Diocesan Registrar since 1992. He is also a Notary Public.

Outside interests

Michael is married with three adult children. His interests include playing squash and tennis, skiing, gardening and classical music.
