Family Mediation

Family Mediation is a confidential process in which family members appoint an impartial third party (the Family Mediator) to help them to make their own informed decisions about arrangements for the future.

Research shows that agreed arrangements tend to have the best long term prospects of success.

The agenda for mediation is set by the participants.  The Mediator assists the participants in coming to their own decisions but does not take the decisions for them.  The aim is to reach a set of mutually approved proposals.

Mediation can often work out considerably cheaper and because of its non-confrontational nature participants often experience improved relations and communication than by using traditional litigation.

Our Family Mediator is Ian Stirzaker who brings a unique approach to the resolution of family difficulties.  No other solicitor in the country has the same qualifications and experience as Ian.  He deals with all aspects of family difficulty.
